Tim - just go to Design, Page Elements. At the very top of the little mockup of your blog layout, there's a blue line with the Blogger logo on the far left. On the far right of that blue line, click on Edit. You'll see the options there!

hi again madeline. whew! it took me a great deal of research but i finally found the problem of the template. it seems that the overlap will only happen with some lower versions of IE like IE6.

if you type my blog url there, you'll see some of the possible errors as well as screenshots of how my blog will appear in lower browser versions. it seems the problem is really with IE6.

i can't understand the technical aspect of how to repair the template to make it cross browser compatible. maybe you have some idea?

That's really odd Grace. In my Firefox, the template code I have uploaded to Goog le Docs (not your website) looks perfect (I updated to 1.5.0.8 just to be sure). Did you try clearing your cache and checking for Firefox updates?

oh actually, i removed the stuff you asked me to paste so it would go back to looking perfect in firefox. the new html code you gave me messes up the width of the side bar elements in firefox.

internet explorer is really a headache. in some computers, the side bar overlaps with the text, in others it doesn't. does it matter what kind of computer i use? the list problem also only happens in internet explorer.

ok. i'll just type the numbers.

Grace - when I view your page in Firefox, it looks perfect. You might try clearing your cache. My version of Firefox is 1.5.0.7.

As for the numbering thing, I think that is a Blogger issue. I've seen it on other blogs (not using my templates). For numbered lists, I'd just type the numbers instead of using the ordered list option in blogger.

hello madeline. sorry to bother you again. i tried to cut and paste the stuff you told me to replace. this time, in mozilla firefox, the text in my side bar elements appeared reed thin. for example, the about this blog text and the others only had one or two words per line. that was freaky.

i never thought IE and Firefox made a difference. i hope you can help me some more. thanks.

If you don't want to lose the changes you've made to your template (and this applies to everyone who gets the code for template up to today's date), you can fix it going to Edit HTML and just replacing this:

#sidebar-wrapper {

overflow: hidden; /* fix for long non-text content breaking IE sidebar float */
margin-left: 150px;
margin-top: -50px;
}

with this:
